Corner Cottage Barn is situated in The South Downs National Park in the small village of Bignor in the grounds of Corner Cottage. It is fully self contained with two double bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, large living area, shower room with toilet and a second separate toilet. There is secure parking for two cars behind locked gates.
Goodwood, famous for it’s motor racing festivals and also Glorious Goodwood horse racing is twenty minutes drive away. The charming town of Petworth with its National Trust property, Petworth House, and many antiques shops and small galleries is close by and the cathedral town of Chichester is just a thirty minute drive.
For bird watchers there is the RSPB reserve at Pulborough Brooks which is twenty minutes away and there are many beaches just forty minutes drive to the South.
The accommodation is ideal for those who love walking, with many walks from the Barn and on the Downs, and it is also a beautiful area for cycling enthusiasts to explore.
There are a few excellent public houses nearby providing really good food and some very good restaurants in Petworth and the surrounding area.
The South coast is ideal for day trips including Glyndebourne and Brighton to the East and Portsmouth with its historic dockyard and the famous Mary Rose museum to the West. The famous A272 road runs just to the North running through spectacular countryside. We are also close to Arundel & Amberly castles as well as Fontwell racecourse.
For those interested in ancient history, a short walk away is the famous Bignor Roman Villa with the longest Roman mosaic floor in the UK, it is well worth a visit or you can relax in your own private area in the garden.
